Insurance Coverage & Prior Approval Process
TMS is covered by many insurance companies and many have a strict prior approval process. In order for most insurance companies to cover TMS treatment, the patient must have a documented attempt and failure (or been unable to tolerate) of a number of medications and psychotherapy during the current depressive episode. Check with your insurance provider for details outlining specifics of your current plan.
The cost of treatment is usually covered by health insurance as long as particular inclusion criteria are met. If your insurance does not cover treatment or coverage is denied for whatever reason, you will be responsible for the cost of treatment.
Insurances we work with currently:
- Regence
- MODA
- United
- MHN
- Pacific Source
- Aetna
- TriCare
- Case by case with other insurance providers
Cascade TMS is a consultative practice only, meaning we will not be taking clients for anything but TMS treatment: referral practitioner or agencies are required to continue treatment after TMS for the referral to be approved.
